About Aya

The nature of experience understanding is utilized as a foundation for leadership development coaching programsMentoring and coaching on this understanding lead to individuals gaining emotional resilience. It also serves as a potent catalyst for adult development and transformation to a higher plane of being on a sure path to actualizing prosperity. An example of the successful application of this understanding in business is a leadership development training program conducted in a high-tech electronics company in the defense and aerospace industry. A conceptual phrase coined in this project is State of Mind (SOM), and the program was dubbed “State of Mind and Business Success.” The company identified State of Mind as a fundamental organizational value and a critical competitive edge in the marketplace.

Business performance improved remarkably for the duration of the decade-long program. The following was reported, “Scores on Customer Satisfaction surveys and Employee Opinion surveys improved greatly in this timeframe, and the SOM program was generally viewed as the catalyst for major improvements in financial performance (sales, orders, profit), program performance (on-time deliveries, product quality, and reliability, field performance) and the overall climate and work environment (leadership, teamwork, collaboration, camaraderie, conflict resolution, customer relations, organizational resilience). The effects of this leadership development program were not only limited to the professional realm but also leaked into the personal lives of the employees, as the senior company executive asserted that “many of the employees often stated that they had experienced profound changes in their personal lives, their physical, emotional and mental health, and their personal relationships for which they credited their SOM understanding” [2].

The paradigm shift associated with understanding how your human experience is created is a powerful stimulant for adult development and the elevation of one’s leadership capacity.

Internalizing how your mind works will help you uncover all the love and understanding you need to live a beautiful, joyful life. Here are some of the everyday benefits of the nature of experience understanding [1]:

1.     Personal accountability and the end of blame- You stop blaming anyone or anything for your pain and misfortunes. This can be very empowering as you realize how you are in charge of your own emotions.

2.     Becoming more resilient and having less stress- As you heighten your self-awareness you learn to let go of unnecessary thinking and your stress response becomes less intense, less frequent, and short-lived.

3.     More time spent being fully present in the moment- You realize that the external world has no control over your feelings. This frees your mind as you let go of the illusion that the external world needs to change for you to be happy.

4.     Greater ease with your inevitable ups and downs- As you rise to a higher level of consciousness you no longer judge or analyze your experience. You let go of the need to control your experience. Once you stop resisting your experience you get into your state of flow and feel at ease.

5.     Freedom from perceived limitation- Feelings are fleeting and acknowledging that they are momentary constructs grants you psychological freedom.

6.     Forgiveness-Holding on to judgmental thinking precludes forgiveness. Ask yourself this question: If you are holding a grudge against someone, then, who is suffering? When you are able to forgive you can enjoy the richness of every moment.

7.     More feelings of Well-being- Without the distortions from our intellectual mind, over-analysis, and conceptual thinking your mind quietens. You start to feel better and lighter.

8.     More common sense- There is thinking that you do and there is thinking that comes to you. Fresh ideas, creativity, and new insights become an ordinary everyday occurrence.

9.     Benefits to relationships- As you realize your essential nature and understand that people see life differently your sense of well-being is enhanced, and you have more to bring to relationships.
